Republic of Singapore Yacht Club

Beautiful place to chill out for dinner.
How not to when caressed by the swaying breeze with the horizon painted in golden dusk hues?

Doreen & Jasper's Ding Dong Day

Venue: F1 Pit Building

First time I've been to a wedding reception and dinner at the Pit. Liked the reception area as it looked rather cool. If there weren't so many people around, I would have camwhore a bit more! The setup simply unleashes the narcissist in me.

Dar wouldn't let me take him, so this is the best I can get. Seriously I'm quite scared of him (xiao nu ren I guess!) but, he wouldn't know even if I posted a pic of him!
Wedding favors have gotten more creative these days

Day 5 of leave - Last Day!

Wednesday 20 Jan 2010

Planned to do lotsa things but ended up doing none at all! Time comes to a standstill when one is on leave and not competing with the time makes one retarded to a certain extent!

By the way I watched a really boring movie today - The Spy Next Door starring Jackie Chan. It's really slapstick boring. No plot, no humor, not much action. Go watch if you don't trust me.

Thursday 21 Jan 2010

So I am techinically not on leave today, just not yet started at the new place. Have planned to pack my day and (finally) make it fruiful and I'm gonna sign off to do so. See you around in a bit!

Ps. Was planning to go Bangkok during the CNY holidays but to my very great disappointment!! Tickets are sold out and there are only the really expensive ones left!!!

ANYONE CARE TO DO SOME CHARITY?

Day 3 of leave

Monday 18 Jan 2010

Went KTV with a newly introduced friend - there were 3 of us altogether. Not trying to promote for Kbox for we only paid $10 nett each! Complete with 2 snacks and a standard drink each. This offer is valid on Monday nights. I'm contemplating going back next Monday!

Day 4 of leave

Tuesday 19 Jan 2010

Took a quick spin around the shopping mall nearby and ended up with a pair of heels for my new workplace. Tested them out yesterday and oh boy, do they kill! Not in the to-die-for kind, but the blister-inducing manner.

Wonder if any of you have the same woes as me when it comes to buying covered shoes? Often the fit is too loose and your heels keep slipping out as you walk; then when it fits well - much too well, I have to spend a bomb on gel cushions to reduce the pain and injury. I can be a brand ambassador for Scholl & Kiwi for their range of gel products already!

Day 2 of leave - big feasting @home

Friday 15 Jan 2010

Today's a big day as I've invited friends over to my place for a big feasting......disposables check, trash bags check, ice for dispenser check...

I got so carried away playing Monopoly Deal, eating and chatting away that I totally drop my camera after the first few pictures

Invited my Macaroni Cheese out to her virgin offering, and Dar mom's renowned Kong Bat Bao

Taking my colleagues to lunch

Wednesday 13 Jan 09

Since it was my last day, I took my supervisor and colleagues out to lunch.
We went to The Cathay Restaurant at The Cathay of course.

There were pictures of all these screen goddesses
The thing I like about the celebrities of this era is that they have voluptuous figures.
If I were a man, I would choose Jessica Alba, Kim Kardashian over skinny beauties anytime.
The dishes were all snapped up before I could take any pictures,
so there are just these:
Very nice XO carrot cake! For some strange reason I get 30% off the bill - totally cool

Monday, January 11, 2010

I promised to prepare lunch for Dar Dar today and hence am keeping to my promise.
Gonna pick up the recipe which Galen taught me (thanks!) years ago and put my memory and skills to the test.

Before entering into the "furnace"
Beautiful perfection

Hey presto!
Macaroni Cheese!
Dar Dar says I get at least 80 marks, k, not too bad having not touch this recipe in the last 2 years

Saturday 9 Jan 2010

Another awesome evening with my sis - again Y-E-S!
Whenever she's free, we'll keep on hanging out together. On days and even weeks that she's busy, I don't even get to have a glimpse of her shadow.
We're both passionate shutterbugs.

Tis' her fav dessert - a Japanese rice dessert

This is my delight, macha ice-cream!
And I personally like MOF's macha - not too sweet and not too milky

Today I'm staring at two characters - one who smiles idiotically at 2 packets of makeup brushes which is a steal to get
Another one (my darling) giggles like a child who has gotten a new toy - his Canon 50D
I also want a new dummy camera!

David Tao in Space

Went to David Tao's concert at the SIS tonight.
Excuse me for a second while I...

David Tao! Scream! Shout! Hands cupping my mouth, frantic waving

Didn't take any photos as I din even bring my disappointing camera out. I want to change my camera! It's been giving me lousy pictures (as you can see in my earlier entries). So, sorry, no pictures for you.

I want to give credit to the singer artiste who performed with much gusto to repeatedly tease a highly subdued crowd to loosen up. The man is really singing his heart out, fantastic vocal range and hitting the right notes, stringing the guitar that he changes after every song, breaking into medleys of latin, rock, reggae, ballad.

His albums already sounded great, but my respect for David went up by notches to see him in action, wooing the crowds with multi-performing abilities, charming smile and sense of humor abeit the lack of participation from the crowd.

But the local fans are really what my good friend termed "sophisticated" audience. They don't stand, they don't scream, they don't wave.
So what are they doing in a concert?

Despite an almost immovable audience, David and his superbly skilled team of magicians, I mean, musicians, wowed me. Professionalism at its height.

I am definitely proud of pledging allegience to David Tao! You rock, literally!

Christian Louboutin Peep Toe Pumps

The god of pumps in my opinion has got to be Christian Louboutin.
I'm so oogling at it but can only search around for a pair of lookalike.

Oh my, and I want this....

Enjoying 'tweeking' around with my layouts and banners...

So if you browse this page tonight, it would have changed faces many times

Awesome day for me today.
My sis treated me to fresh sashimi.
Salmon & swordfish sashimi makes my day.

31 December 2009
Thanksgiving party at SX & Ruth's place

Guess what my darling made?

Game that I'm currently in love with now - MONOPOLY DEAL.
It's fun, Fun, FUN!
